cat back install
I'm purchasing the Apex'i WS cat back system, I'm just wondering if a novice to cars and their exhaust systems would bealbe to install it. If it's a simple bolt-on or if it needs welding? or any special tools...
Thanks in advance |

Just make sure to get the hangers into the rubber http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emwink.gif |
Re: cat back install (Spade)
hangers into the rubber... Not sound like a total idiot what do you mean? I imagine I'll understand when I'm doing it but just to prevent mishap...
You think they come with directions? probably not right |
Re: cat back install (Grimm)
It might come with directions. The hangers are of course the thing that hang off of the muffler and the B-pipe.
On the chasis there are also hangers and both the hangers attach to the existing rubber that your stock exhaust used. |
Re: cat back install (Spade)
Hey thanks spade...
a friend of mine warned me about doing it myself due to parts/bolts rusting and being locked... Is this a decent concern or are most of those area's O.K.? i really have no experience with this stuff and want to get some. I also don't want to pay to do this... |
Re: cat back install (Grimm)
Just keep in mind you may need to go get a spare bolt or two at the hardware store.
But being you are driving a 6th gen, rust isn't too big of a concern. |
