H22 swap died

H22 swap died
I had just taken my h22 swapped civic out for its first run and it's was great in low rpms.. Then I try to go faster and hit about 4-5k and the motor shuts down completely.. I had to get towed home..my computer is good cuz I'm getting signal to injectors, I am getting fuel , air and I have great compression but am not getting spark.. People say the honda distributors always fail but why would it just die while I'm driving?? Seems kinda fishy to me.. Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated

You could take off your distributor and check to see if its fried. If it looks good I would recomend going through your relays and check your wiring if your not getting power to your distributor. Possibly you might have had a short some where n poped a fuse/relay. Have you wired anything new into it?

Thats the issue, somthing isnt right with the wiring. Maybe its throwing the computer off n its cutting ignition. Or you wired somthing into an exsisting ciruit and are overloading it. I would chrck my grounds first, Thats the easiest, double check all wires are not spliced into exisiting ignition wires and then if its still not working, run some diagnostics on the ecu. if it ran before, somthing you did isnt right. But its all good man, happens to all of us, eletrical issues are usually simple but a pain in the a** to figure out.
