Default Cam Belt cover question - B16A2 VTEC

Howdy all.
Im running a UK B18c (teg type R head) on a B16a2 block.
Im struggling to find an upper cambelt cover that fits.
The B18c one lines up ok but doesn't sit flush to the engine.
any ideas?

thanks

They are the same from both engines, due to to the fact that essentially they are the same head (PR3)..

You will need to look at the part number stamped on the back of the cover. A PR3 or P2T upper outer cover will work for you... the one from the B18C ITR head is a P72 or P73 upper outer cover and it is actually 1/2" taller than the B16A cover. The inner cover will also need to be a PR3 piece. It is actually the LOWER covers that are in fact the same between all "B" series engines in any given model year. Pre '96 USDM and most JDM lower covers are narrow at the bottom and have no provision to cover the sensor and wiring for the CKF sensor. 1996 and newer USDM covers are wider at the bottom to accommodate the CKF sensor.

Brilliant. Thanks
I should have been a little clearer- its the inner cover that I'm struggling with.
I'll have a look at the stamps later and figure it out

cheers

Thanks for the elaboration. The inner cover IS different, and I failed to mention that. Much obliged
