Before I go MENTAL, please help me identify this noise!
I was almost insane trying to find this noise which coming from under the bonnet or possible from the front right suspension! I have check every possible brushing and linkage and everything! It seems to be fine! But I need your help to identify this, so pleaseeeee, cure my little coupe.
https://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e...038708copy.jpg This is a brief summary •Noise only come when the car is warm (fresh start and quick run?, no noise!!) •The sound is very similar to the bird signing in HIGH PITCH!! (JIJ, JIG, JIB… JIB) but whispering, not so loud. •The sounds ONLY come when I push the gas pedal, cruising, or engaging the clutch! •The sounds Dones’t get louder as I go faster. •The sounds appear on a bumpy road or even smooth surface, regardlessly. •Cruising on neutral gear, or not pushing the gas paddle, the sounds GOES AWAY! And come back once I push on the gas to accelerate the car. •The sounds appear randomly, no rhythm, no pattern BUT ONLY COME WHEN I PUSH THE GAS = Accelerating (JIG JIGGG.. JIG) My car is JDM Civic EJ7, it is right handed. So the sounds appears just about where my right foot is. The sounds come from exterior of the car and im really not sure if it’s a suspension or something with the transmission? This is what I have checked so far… my brake, my brushing, my coil over and everything. I’ll take to the shop soon as fast as if I know where is the sound coming from. Could it be clutch bearing?! Or some other things related?! Please advise Thanks in advance for every answer! |

Do you have motor mount inserts?
Turn the radio up! |

no, I don't have the motor mount inserts https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif and the radio trick won't work for me https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif
im very suspicious about my drive train, any one? |

Have you checked the wheel bearing? It's highly possible.
|
from what u are saying , it does'nt sound suspension related ,
what i would do , is to take off the alternator belt , air con belt, power steer, take belts off one at a time starting with the outer belts one at a time, and go from there , |

I'll check its bearing today (but if its the wheel bearing, why does the sound goes away when im cruising? but reappear when i put on some gas to get going? the sound come regardlessly of 5mph or 60mph) |
Re: (bright rider)
the questions is, how would I know if something wrong with my belts? or related area? please advise me https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif
and thanks for every answer! |
hmmm.. sounds like the noise from the air intake if the resonator box isn't used.
but i guess it is another sound you mean? |
Re: (OkkeN)
Tranny dustshield! worth a try since your right hand drive you might be able to hear it more....
just advice cause you never know! |

Re: (Satoonxtreme)
Well, it's not drivetrain related because the sound doesn't get louder, come at
a faster frequency, or change pitch. It only happens when the car accelerates and goes away at cruise (not under power). Check your throw-out bearing in your tranny, it could be going out. BTW, is it an automatic, or a standard tranny? If it's an automatic, then forget my advice, lol. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif |
