Bee R Rev limiter installation
I am confused about installing the bee r rev limiter.
I bought a used unit with no instructions and even if it did come with instructions its all in japanese. I need to know exactly how to hook it up into an OBD1 integra or civic since its basically the same. I have tried connecting Green - A 25 pin out (IGP1) Red - to ignition source (accessory) White - Hand brake Black - Ground Yellow - Confirmed tach signal I have seen some other diagrams where you have to cut a pin out and tap another pin into the ecu. Am i missing something here? Please all those who have the Bee R rev limiters installed please help a brotha out. Thanks! |

Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
okay so i tried wiring it another way. A21 Ignition signal was cut and yellow and green wire attached to propper sides.. the A22 was just cut as other manuals said.
the unit flashes for a split second only when changing settings but is still not functioning properly. Please someone with a BEE R in an OBD1 integra please chime in. this is crazy. |

Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
try this way,
BLACK - Ground RED - Ignition power WHITE - Rev2 trigger wire, ground to activate GREEN - Ignitor wire, harness side YELLOW - Ignitor wire, ECU side BLACK AND RED WIRE Find a suitable ground and power source. If you can't do this, stop now, get someone else to install it. You can take ignition power off the ECU at pin A25 like they suggest, but I chose not to mess with my ECU harness more than I had to. WHITE WIRE When you ground this wire, the Rev2 function is triggered. The best choices are either the hand brake or the clutch. For the hand brake, remove the trim around your shifter and tap into the GRY wire near the hand brake. For the clutch, tap into the BLU-BLK wire on your clutch switch. GREEN AND YELLOW WIRE Find pin A22 on the ECU harness and cut it, yes cut it, then properly insulate the wire ends. Find pin A21 on the ECU harness and cut it, then crimp on male and female bullet connectors. Both those wires should be RED-GRN. Take your green wire from the Bee*R unit and crimp on a bullet connector, then connect it to the harness side of the A21 wire. Take your yellow wire from the Bee*R unit and crimp on a bullet connector, then connect it to the ECU side of the A21 wire. https://img197.imageshack.us/img197/2289/beerh.jpg |

Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
Aiming this question to anyone with a BR-Rev. Ive seen that the only difference is a set of "resistors" withing the wires to the ECU. Anyone have one handy to check or at least may know what hides behind that shrink wrap? I had a type B given to me and i would LOVE to get it working on the TurboTeg. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
I guess you responded to my youtube vid?
I am not 100% sure, but it looks an awful lot like a tach signal filter. I wouldn't be surprised if thats what it was. Might save you a couple bucks. http://glowshiftdirect.com/tachomete...al-filter.aspx The guide copy and pasted above is what I posted on D-Series.org |
Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
I have one for obd2a Integra type r ukdm, instructions are poor..I can get the black and red wires but theres a green for ignition signal (icm do they mean?) and yellow for rpm right? Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
hey please help me install mineee

Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
That guy on top laid it out clear as day. Is it not working that way?
You splice the unit into A21. Yellow towards Ecu Green towards Harness. |
Re: Bee R Rev limiter installation
no for mine its different. i have an obd2a civic ..yellow would go to rpm signal on strut tower blue wire since obd2a civics dont have an rpm signal on the ecu..the green wire goes to pin a11 which would be igp1 or a20 which is icm wire ?
