BDL B-series fuel rail installation help
Hi,
I've recently bought a BDL B-series fuel rail, and I was wondering what the threaded hole (seems like M14x1.25) on the bottom, in between injectors 2 en 3 is for. There does not seem to be a plug included for it. The hole is visible in this picture: http://www.bdlsales.com/productcart/...LFR-101R-L.jpg |
Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (Pandor)
mine came with a plug for it. i would call who ever you bought the rail from and ask them to send u the plug.

Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (crxmadness)
I got the rail from k20tuned.com and pointed them to this thread.
Thanks. |
Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (crxmadness)
What would that hole be for anyway?

Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (pgpbubble)
remote pressure gauge maybe?
I tried contacting BDL, but their contact page seems down. I would really like to know about all the threads on the rail, to figure out what AN adaptors I need for my AN-6 plumbing. I'm not that familiar with all those U.S. standards (i'm european). Modified by Pandor at 6:09 AM 9/21/2008 |
Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (Pandor)
You need an -8 o-ring to a -6 female.
part number from An-plumbing.com 985068 |
Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (zacatkings)
It's for additionaly fuel supply, return, what have you.
The BDL rails are -8AN inlet/outlet. I believe that auxillary thread you're referrign to is -6AN. |
Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (a1320addict)
Thanks a1320addict, I think I'll just include a -6AN plug in my order for the bottom port then, as I haven't heard back from k20tuned yet.
Or I could just plug the outlet port (one of the -8AN) and use the bottom -6AN as a return, to my external FPR. But won't that disturb the flow/pressure? |
Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (Pandor)
Your fuelrail should have came with the plug and some fitting's. If you need a set just call the number in my sig and ill give them to you for free just pay for shipping. Im a BDL dealer and I will take care of the problem for you and bring it to BDL's attention.

Thanks for the offer Mike.
I did receive everything else on the package (o-rings for the injectors, banjo bolt and AN-10 plug for the outlet.). I'm just missing the AN-6 plug for the bottom auxiliary inlet/outlet port. Since k20tuned hasn't got back to me about the problem, I guess i'll just include a AN-6plug when I oder my AN conversion stuff. |

Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help (Mike@Highend Autosports)
I was just thinking, Wouldn't it be better to make it a dual feed fuel rail?
So, use a Y-splitter on the fuel line and connect it to both ends of the rail. Then use the bottom -6AN hole to run the return line (to fpr). Modified by Pandor at 12:42 PM 10/29/2008 |
Re: BDL B-series fuel rail installation help
