B20b/Vtec PROBLEM..PLEASE HELP!
 

view my sig for mods..I have searched and searched and still cant figure out my problem..car runs fine until vtec changeover..which is set to 5700rpm once the car reaches the changeover from 5700-6000 rpm I get this noisy valvetrain sound,almost like ticking and nuts and bolts coming loose type of sound then at around 6200rpm it goes away and pulls strong..now I dont have my cam gears yet installed b/c of the damn marks on those buddyclub cam gears(I wont even get into that)but I thougth vtec oil pump,but same part # I called honda,then I figured maybe its my cam gears..I might try to retard exhaust 2 and advance intake 2 will this help??I also heard heard its the lost motion assembly or whatever..but my tech said it would do it constantly..I am in great need of your help..I am not tuning my car with the hondata until I get that problem solved..*also running a spoon ecu if that helps
