auto to manuel conversions
i have a 2001 prelude w/ a four-speed automatic sportshift....i want to do a manuel conversion because if i were to go F/I the auto tranny would absorb the output of the potential boost of a turbo and on take off auto trannies dont really get a good one...i cant sell my car and i just want a stick...i've heard this is possible but how much damage will this do to my wallet???? and what should i do first?????

Sell the car and buy a manual Prelude if that's what you want.
You're looking at probably $3-4k to do everything right. Even then it is an assload of trouble. Or you might be able to trim $1k off that price and get a used tranny that you have no idea about its condition. If you're stupid enough to still do it, good luck to you. You'll be kicking yourself in the ass if you actually go through with it. |
