another idle thread
posted this in the Integra forum, but i barley got any responses. hopefully i'll have more luck here.
my car is possessed and im certain of it. the f'kn thing has a mind of it's own and does weird things. I'm just looking to see if i can get some answers. the car for a while now has had idle problems, as far as in the mornings it revs quite high (2000rpm) but after a couple of minutes it goes down to about 750rpm. Now all of a sudden it's reving at about 3000rpm when cold and dies down to about 1500rpm at normal temp, which is still high and very annoying at stops. I'm assuming it's my FITV, but I'm not sure. any type of feedback would be appreciated. tia . |

Open up the FITV, and see if the wax plunger is cracked/old/broken I think it costs about 35 new from a dealer.

aight fellas just a lil update on my idle problem..........ITS FIXED!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAA!!!!!!! boi am I glad that shit stopped. all along it wasnt the iacv or vacum lines, the intake manifold gasket was pretty bad. it was leaking all the way around and I gues it caused the ecu to think it was the iacv. weird if you ask me but I replaced the manifold gaske and poof! no more problems
