Default 99 CIVIC VP SEDAN - IAC REPLACEMENT

Does anyone have a good DIY for repacing the IAC on a 99 civic VP sedan?

It's pretty straightforward. Like 2 bolts hold it in. If you look at the new part it's pretty self explanatory. It's like 1 step harder than replacing your battery. Super easy. Go for it man.

pyro, i'm thinking i must have a different engine setup or else i'm even dumber than i originally thought. i had to remove the air filter housing and base, which was a real pain. once i finally got the base of the housing off the throttle body, i realized i needed to take off the throttle cable bracket to get to the IAC bolts. then, with a whole lot of patience, i was eventually able to get to all 4 bolts holding that sucker on, but the bottom bolts were very difficult to get to and i have skinned knuckles to prove it. putting it back together was easier, but i struggled accessing the clamp bolt on the air filter housing to tighten it back down. all i can say is it's a good thing i'm not a mechanic getting paid by the hour. i would starve.

Lol. Flat rate can be a real **** for sure. I might be thinking of a different single cam d series engine. Honestly idk what a civic vp is? What country are you in?
Sounds like you got it though. Good job! See it wasn't that bad ☺ even though I'm prob thinking of something different entirely.

i'm in the us. vp stands for value package. it's really just a dx with one extra upgrade. just keeps you from having to say i got the cheapest model available. thank you for the props on getting the job done. at one point i was thinking i may end up towing my car to the shop with my tail between my legs.
