93 Prelude CEL Transmission codes. What does code P0700 and P1737 mean?
y CEL is tripping since I bought my 93 Prelude SI 3 months ago. It has 160k miles on it. It is Automatic.
It is giving codes:
P0700 -
P1738 -
What does these codes mean?
I went to Aamco transmissions for a external diagnostics, and they said its probably something external (not internal) to the transmission. They said it could be the:
-2nd gear Pressure switch.
They said that it could even be a loose wire on the Pressure switch.
I called honda. They said the Pressure switch is ~$73
The guy at Aamco was fast talking and just kept on wanting me to leave my car with him (seemed somewhat money hungry).
Could you guys shed some light on the analysis that I have received.
Thanks alot!

they are somewhat correct, however you wont know until you diagnose it properly. Here is the diagnostic flow chart for P1738. P0700 will always come on when you have any other trans codes pop up.
