Fuel Mileage drop

Fuel Mileage drop
This seems strange I know.
But my wife and I are always keeping track of how much
mpg I am getting in the civic.
In the summer I was getting 340-360 per tank and now
i am getting 290-310 per tank.
I checked the plugs and they seem to be fine.
The oil isn’t due to be changed yet.
Did the oil companies do something to the fuel already to
reduce mileage and reduce cost. Coincidence?
idk, just wondering. I don’t usually think of conspiracies but i wonder why my fuel usage has dropped so much.
any ideas?

Re: Fuel Mileage drop
Winter fuel blends, and colder climates can affect your mileage. The temperature difference will change, tire pressures, and oil viscosity. There are several articles about winter fuel blends that thoroughly explain this subject.

Re: Fuel Mileage drop
yes, i do a lot of searching which is why i have low post count.
however, I didn't know if maybe I was missing something or maybe there was something I should check on my vehicle. It really sucks when you drive 44 miles each way to work.
One reason i drive a 4cyl. is for goor fuel mileage and now i might as well drive a 6 cyl or boost my 4 cyl. but it has 212,000 miles on it and i don't know how much longer it will last.
it is my first honda. i inherited it from my wife and she got the new nissan rogue for her and our daughter. I love the honda and keep it for DD but i would like to get a mid 90's HB to modify and boost... I know i got off subject here but i get excited about racing.
it has been so long since i went fast. I miss it!
