2 quick questions...
 

arright....i have no training in engines, etc...but i'm slowly learning by wrenching all my own stuff. i bought an MSD SCI ignition and spent a little while last week trying to install it. after i was done, the car wouldn't start. the diagram didn't help, but i think i figured out that the wires to the coil should be cut and the wires to the distributer should be spliced into sound about right? (i cut them all). second, i'm runnin a 50-shot of nitrous and the instructions (if i remember correctly) said NOT to retard timing...but i'm thinkin my memory isn't doing me any good. any ideas on how much to retard timing. i'm running a pretty stock d16 (...intake, exhaust). tips on either...?

An MSD is crap IMO, especially if you plan to keep your car NA or virtually stock.

The best time to use it is for NOS, SC, or turbo use.
