2 QUESTIONS....PLEASE HELP....NEEDS ADVICE
 

First of all i have a dc underhood intake. After doing some reaseach i found out that they are worse than a stock airbox w/ a drop in K&N filter, which im sure all of u already know. Anyway i decided to make a homemade cai b/c i dont have the $$ right now for a aem cai(which i want). Now, i have a toucan industries ractive heat sheild filter(enclosed filter), i sealed dryer vent tube to the filter w/ a clamp and wrapped the seam with electrical tape so it is totally sealed. So when i reinstall i will clamp the filter to my exsisting dc tube coming from the throttle body and route the other end (dryer tube) into my bumper. My question is will that work or is there anything i should do different???
My 2nd question will be quick, when im accelerating past 115-120, i feel the car buck....or stumble and it loses power..?? Could that be low fuel pressure or maybe i need a higher octane fuel( i use 87, lowest grade)????or something worse????
