Seriously, if you break it, you'll have money to rebuild it.

is there a way to make it reliable?

b16+boost

i could do that for about 4k with a custom turbo kit.

think thats the fastest? think you can swap it too?

actually it should be

b16 OR ls turbo.

LS + boost would be a sick combo.

looking about 2500$ shipped for a LS swap, and you can do a DIY turbo kit for ABOUT 2000.

b20 turbo is good, but you might actually find ls engines cheaper and probably more plentiful. Plus you might have some extra cash to play around with later if you went with the ls turbo..

Re: $4000 to spend on an engine.. (g00se)

actually the b20 is probably the worst stock platform honda engine for boost

the individual sleeves it has are notoriously weak with boost.

Re: $4000 to spend on an engine.. (Kamin)

so... stock ls engine + boost?

say.. greddy kit off ebay?

Kamin Aug 12, 2003 02:13 PM

Re: $4000 to spend on an engine.. (jbell)

eh i would piece together my own kit.

you can build it to your specific specs and final goals.

My friend has a complete turbo kit he's looking to get rid of. He was going to put it in his 95 teg, but decided to go all motor instead.

or buy a used fully built engine listed in the classifieds...if you wait long enough, theres bound to be one or two really good ones appearing in the classifieds section. But thats such a pita.

But LS-T is just as (if not better) good. Either way, you can have a 200ish whp engine. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
