Re: (D-t)
I have 300 on the rear. I think 300 up front, but it's been so long. It's smooth enough for DD, yet stiff to annoy my wife , but I up the KYB struts for autox and I can actually make the tail flip out if I need to. I still have OEM sway bars.

If you wanna-be spring manufacturers ever want to sell any springs, you gonna have to start offering them in many different anodized colors with chrome stripes & ****. It's probably best to drop the quality control too otherwise your never gonna turn a profit. Oh yea...don't forget to put "JDM" somewhere on the box....

This just in... "Eibach has made available their new "JDM" springs. The first run has a super-hot "burnt" titanium finish"! And third quarter 07 will release their new line of Anodized "rainbow" coils! Their guaranteed to add up to 10hp to your suspension and get you those extra car-show points...
PS: You owe me some money for my input...

unfortunately that probably would almost be a worthwhile venture for Eibach

You must have forgot to mention the "scratch & sniff" additive we discussed. Now I'm pissed off...

maybe with every purchase you could include a cute little stuffed purple and green bear or something thats holding a spring. He could have on a cowboy hat and smoke cigarrettes.
Then after a few months you could release a "special edition" one that costs $300 or something.

Re: What are your Ground Control Spring rates ? (redDAinteg)
380 front / 430 rear. This was the suggested rate from one of the Ground Control guys when I ordered them. He said "It will be just this side of girlfriend/wife friendly." I added these coil overs, Koni yellows, an ES hyperflex master kit, Prothane rear compensator/shock/LCA bushings, ASPEC 22mm rear sway bar kit, front Skunk2 pro camber kit and King Motor Sports rear camber kit to my 99si. I do not notice any discomfort from daily driving, but maybe I am just weird.
I see people running some really high spring rates. Are these daily driven or track only vehicles?

Yeah my 550/500 are daily driven
Honestly they don't even feel that stiff. IDK, lol. I guess at times they do when you go over a bump and they bounce, haha. Or people will mention how bouncy the ride is.
But you get use to it quick. It's funny sometimes when people ride in my car that never have, and I go over a bump, and the rear end bounces hard, and hits them right in the back. lol

Re: (ED9man)
what car model are we talking about? and could we talk about any honda?
I have a 2001 Lude, and i had a set of skunk 2 coilivers previously with the rates that are originaly issued to the prelude kit from skunk 2, and i was misserable, i disliked that uncomfort very much! i had never hated a car part as much as that kit lol
With that being said, for a prelude, the H&R Race spring Plus Bilstien Sport shock combo is the most heavenly made match. I yet to this day would like to feel a smoother yet highly performance oriented combo for the price and drivabilty.
Other than that, could somone suggest me a good rate to ask for if i was to order a set of Ground control sleeve kit to fit over my Bilstien Sport shocks? i would like the rear springs to be significantly stiffer to counter understeer as much as possible.. but at the same time i want the springs to very very VERY comfortable this time around, cuase my worst nightmare is to bounce (even just a tiny bit) in a set of coil overs, comeing from sucha beautifull race spring and shock combo. thank you in advance.

If springs are pretty stiff, and how you have your shocks set they will bounce. It's kind of unavoidable. The tradeoff is having superior handling. Yeah it sucks at times, but hey.
I'm not too sure about the prelude, so I can't help you there. I don't really have exprience at all on the drag strip or auto X on my setup yet.

right now 400f/375r soon to be 450f and 475r-500r on spss valving. Currently with dampers at a little over 1/4 from soft, it rides just as 'smooth' as stock to me unless its a huge bump or something. Of course its stiffer than stock, but not bouncy or bone-jarring by any means esp if i have it less than 1/2 from soft. 8" springs, and ride height is about 1.5 finger gap front 1.25 gap rear, i haven't bottomed out on this yet but am close to running out of travel (checked with zip tie method have about 1/4th inch on shock rod in front, about 1/3 inch in rear). I did have it lower in front at first but was slightly hitting bumpstops up front, raised it 1/8th inch and it handled a lot better too; but it doesn't look 'even' front to rear.

can you elaborate on this "zip tie method?"
anyway, to stay on topic, i have 400f and 450r with koni yellows and 22mm rear swaybar. rotates very nicely and the rear end kicks out so easily now.

Take a zip tie put it on the shock shaft inbetween the bumpstop and the top of the shock body. Cut enough of the tail so it doesn't interfere with your springs; and make it just snug enough to grab the rod. Then slide it all the way down.
Drive around and note where the zip tie ends up; if its in the bumpstop, you're bottoming out. This could be due to two things, youre either A) too low or B) your springs are too soft. The lower you go the more spring you should use to prevent it all from bottoming out.
I have the 22mm asr rear kit, stock 21mm front EJ1 bar, and 400f 375r, its neutral to me, hints of understeer. A little more body roll than I like (nothing compared to my sis' stock 94 ex sedan hahah), so thats why I'm upping my rates to 450f and 475-500r. This is still somewhat of my daily right now, wont be track only for at least a year. Yeah, i can easily induce some oversteer with throttle lift...so in essense yes, i like how my car rotates compared to my sis's stock civic. I guess my alignment would play a role there too, i have 0-toe per corner, -1.5 all around right now.
