Higher rate in rear causes oversteer (turning quicker)

Yeah, my rate in the rear isn't higher....550f/500r. But I do get a bit of oversteer...hmmm, well I guess if I really jerk the wheel into a turn it will happen.

Handles okay. I guess I wanted more than I could ask for. I guess the only thing that really bothers me is the body roll. I hope a rear sway bar either 22mm/23mm will fix that.

I'm riding on 14"steelies with 195/60 tires with about a 1 finger gap or so in front, and about a 2 finger gap or just a bit more in the rear. Looking to drop the rear a bit more. This is in a DC4

400F and 450R (8") with koni yellow/all tophats, sleeves, perches, isolators and bumpstops. This is for a 97 Prelude SH and they are getting shipped next week so I can't wait to install!

Here is one of the boxes my springs came in... this is going to be installed on the front (just as soon as I can secure a different vehicle for daily driving).

whats a good track/street rate? sees track but also daily driven, my car just squats too damn much, need something thats pretty stiff, but still ok for daily, plus would have the koni yellows for damping adjustablilty for the rear

There is no such thing. You have race rates, or street rates. If you want to do both you have to be somewhere in between.

Apparently mine are good for both....street and autox so they are rates somewhere in the middle. I just hope its not too stiff for daily driving. We'll see when I do the install.

If this thread is still alive after I install then I will let you know.

If you're worried about squat, did you mean to ask about strip / street rates, and not track / street rates? Because the word "track" generally is used to refer to a road course style track, and "strip" for the drag strip.

I only bring this up, becaues the rates you'd want to run would be radically different between the two.

get some koni's and its a totally different ball park. That is like comparing apples and oranges(koni's vs. OEM style shocks)

Why don't you just upgrade to koni yellow's?

You already have the ground control's.

If you wanna-be spring manufacturers ever want to sell any springs, you gonna have to start offering them in many different anodized colors with chrome stripes & ****. It's probably best to drop the quality control too otherwise your never gonna turn a profit. Oh yea...don't forget to put "JDM" somewhere on the box....

LOL!

I'll be upgrading pretty soon for 500/400 spring rates. At this ride height, the ots make my rad support bottom out like a ****

I agree, those new companies popping up are not the "better" choice. I used to sell those brands as well in the past, but I pulled that from our product line. After repeated calls from many people, not my customers actually, about leaking shocks, bad fitment, etc. I refuse to carry those brands anymore.

i'm sticking to Koni, Ground Control, Eibach, etc. The proven brands for many years. My take on it is, if there is any repair or any warranty required. The consumer has alot of options to go to for repair or warranty of the product. Its just piece of mind that you know you have a product that a company can back up and take care of you if something happens.

Anybody have any good recommendations on sways?

Besides the obvious 22/23mm ITR sway bar?

Also mounting kit included?

Is a subframe brace needed for the subframe? I'm running in a dc4 with 550f/500r gc w/ ots konis.

I heard it was more needed for EG/EF chassis.
