What are your Ground Control Spring rates ?

Im just interested in knowing what spring rates you guys have on your set-up with ground controls and also I want to know your feedback on how good it handles/feels/comfort.

The rates I have on GC's are 380front and 340rear. They are 8" springs which I think would be better if they were 6" springs so I wouldn't have to compress them to raise the car up. Also this is with Koni's. It feels softer compared to my H&R race springs but much more daily drivable IMO.

I run 400/400 rates. Its almost too stiff for the street (according to my passengers, I like it). Its too soft for autocross and HPDE use (car takes forever to take a set). This is on a 00 GSR, and lighter cars will feel stiffer with the same rates, heavier cars will feel smoother.

A 6" or an 8" spring won't make a difference in ride height. If you put on a 2" shorter spring, you'll have to move up your adjuster 2" to get the same ride height, and will have the same preload at the same height. If you want more height without preload, you need more shock shaft droop travel. If you have extended upper mounts, replace them with stock and you'll be able to get the car higher without preload. If you have done the shock fork trick in the front, undo it.

550f/500r.

I think I need stiffer. lol. A little bouncy at times. The only downside is that I'm in a DC4, so when I hit a hard bump in the road or a crack/elevated piece it feels like the front is going to fall off. Kind of hate it, but at the same time I want to handle good.

I'm still not fully satisfied though w/ my suspension at all. I want to take out my ps, or just leave it in but not have it connected, add a strut bar in the front, and a sway bar for the rear.

350f/400r I plan on going a bit stiffer in the front to better control the body roll.

400lb/500lb (f/r) in a hatchback with off the shelf Koni Sports.

As far as the research I did on Honda-Tech, this seemed to be a pretty common setup for a sporty track car that can be driven on the street. These rates are also approaching the limits of what off the shelf Konis can reliably handle.

I don't daily drive the car, but I cruise around alot and I don't think 500lbs is at all stiff on the street. Of course when the rear shocks are all the way up, it's a harsh ride, but turning them down half way makes the ride quality just fine. I think I prefer a sporty, slightly firmer ride though, so take that into consideration. When the time comes to re-valve the shocks for more spring, I'm sure the ride quality will begin to suffer on the street.

400f/250r in a 94 Civic CX w/ speaker box, and B-series motor and Koni shocks. Car handles well & feels comfortable on the street. Plus I can drive my 8.5-months-pregnant wife around without here complaining to much (some days are worse than others)...

LOL! I would have too until last saturday. We drove around in my EG all afternoon looking for a sedan for me to drive after the stork gets here. It was about 70 degrees outside and we cruised windows down. I even had the cork out of the muffler to let the Type-R roar. It was like a small vacation...

what spring rates are good for potholes, bumps, ect?

higher rates in the back usually cause oversteer?

My car has been crying for about a year and a half.

Whenever I run bumps and potholes on the road, it feels like my car is going to fall apart because it takes it so hard.

lol x2.

I'm running 550f/500r on OTS koni Yellows.

Still not satisfied. I want to add a rear 22 or 23mm sway bar next, and set of rear and front strut bars. I still have roll, and I hate it. I want an LSD too. When I take a turn car feels weird, lol. Sometimes the tires will hop/skip when making a hard sharp turn

Oh also i need tires! lol.
