Default what cause wheel bearings to go bad?

i have a 95 civic cx hatchback
my old front wheel bearing went out so i replaced a new one just about 2 weeks ago, and everything was nice and firm no play with the new wheel bearing, drove for about 1 week and notice that at 70+mph i hear a noise comming from the rotor and now i notice that there is play with the new bearing when u give the wheel a push, seems like its gonna go out pretty soon! what cause a brand new wheel bearing to go out so fast?

How did you replace it? If you hammer it in the lifespan can be ruined. Use a press or make one with a large bolt and some washers.

wel i took it to a shop and have them do it, the guy seem like he didnt really kno what he was doing, it took him so long to take out the old one and press in the new one it was like an 1hr 20min wait, im thinking he probably screwed it up then huh??

oh and my tires got a bump on the inner side wall it's half of a golf ball size, think that could cause the wheel bearing to go bad?

Possible install error. If he hammered them at all they could be shot. They need to be pressed in with an actual press or some setup that slowly pushes the bearing in.

A bubble in the tire shouldnt cause wheel bearing problems. But get new tires when you can.

no i had no clue how it was suppose to go in, i thought he knew so i just let him do it. If i call him back what should i tell him? i think it's probably rookie install error.
