Cusco are way higher quality than Tein, + more street cred. Their dampenes are made by Showa and springs are made in house.
But save up for the Zero2

Re: (GUILOTINE)
Yea, because yours was so much better.
As for the OP, no idea. I still haven't decided if I want to get K-Sport or Function/Form Coilovers or a Koni/GC setup.

Sorry smartass but he didn't ask about K-Sport or the Koni/GC setup.
If I had to choose between Cusco or Tein, I would go Tein anyday

Re: Tein vs Cusco....? (Spec R_GSR)
I have had 2 different sets of Teins on my Integra (Super Streets, and RS) and ultimately sold them in favor of a different setup. The Super Streets were a nice riding setup on the road, and offered a decent level of grip if you know how to set the car up. I do not have experience with Cuscos on my own car, but have ridden in an Integra with them. They too, are a nice setup. Look at both first hand before you make your decision.

I've the comp-s on my EK hatch and i love it
tried the Tein SS and they're kinda soft (not saying the Comp-s is much better)
I'd probably save up another couple hundreds more then get the Zero-2

Re: Tein vs Cusco....? (Plum_civicEK)
I am interested in the TEIN FLEX's and I spotted this head to head.
So with all of this back and forth over which is and which isn't,,,
Cusco or Tein?
Which is more rebuildable, tunable, adjustable and just overall more pleasing than the other! Dollar for dollar!??
Keep the smart *** remarks - I know there are some real enthusiasts on here - Help a brother out!

Re: Tein vs Cusco....? (Cookie)
nobody was comparing tein flex here, we were comparing the comp s to the tein basic, both are entry level coilovers. FLEX is on another level, i'll tell you one thing though, the cusco equivalent is going to cost atleast 500 more than the flex.

LOL...Yeah...because in the end...suspension selection should only come down to this.

Both Tein, and Cusco will require you to ship the dampners back to Japan for service. This is at a cost of about $200 shipping, the cost of the actual services being performed, and a downtime of 3-5 weeks. I sent my Type-RS shocks back to Tein to have them valved to my specs, and was lucky to have had 2 other sets of suspension available to me.

Koni SPSS3 valved shocks, custom rate Ground-Controls, and extended top-hats. So far, I do not miss my $2,000 Teins. Actually, this setup is 100 times better for what I do.

You are incorrect, Since '05 Tein has had a rebuild/overhaul center in L.A.

Removed "for what I do" because your setup is just 100x better period

I did not know that, as it was 2004 when I sent my Teins in.
