Which suspension to go with for 97 Del Sol?
So I picked up a 97 Del Sol Si with 147k for about $700. It has these Ebay coilovers with stock struts maxed out which rides absolutely horrible here in New York. I'm going to raise it back up asap so I can at least drive the thing but I been doing research on here and Google for different spring rates and tried/true setups. I been reading up a lot on koni/gc with extended top hats. I want to keep it this height but I want it to ride a little more stiffer. I obviously know it isn't going to be smooth. I saw 450f and 350r is the norm for rates. Just a daily driver, nothing crazy. Anyone have any ideas?
By the way these ebay's are MAXXXED tf out at a 5 inch drop!

I doubt that any single-point adjustable shock is going to work as well as it is designed, at the heights in any of these pictures.
450/350 isn't a very high spring rate. As long as the shock can handle 450/350 + whatever the bumpstop rate is, they will ride "ok" (ok meaning "like ****" in real world terms).
I don't think progress recommends a 3 inch drop. Its a small car. That black Del Sol looks to be lowered a lot more than 2".
I doubt any reputable company recommends using a 3" drop....even if their setup is capable of doing so. Most street setups even caution against using a 2" drop for the sake of ride quality.
What I'm saying is that its going to ride badly regardless of what you use. Which is fine if you're willing to live with the diminished ride for the sake of looks.

"extreme low"
That isn't to say this will solve all your issues, like upper control arms hitting the strut towers, tires hitting the top of the fender wells and other parts bottoming out, out of range...
Generally, the lower you go, the higher the spring rates you will need, in order to prevent bottoming out.
Just pick a decent coilover and set it to a reasonable height. Stop destroying what old hondas we have.

Yeah, never buy no-name coilovers on eBay. You'll just be throwing money away.
