my caliper bolts are so tight and i can't seem to get them loose
i was wondering what u guys done to loosen them! thx

Just the bolts right not the slide pins? If its the bolts use a 17mm open end wrench (or a 19mm its been so long since i serviced someone's that had this problem) and put it on the oval shaped area on the pin and hold it while using your free hand to turn the ratchet on the bolt. Be careful, because if they are the 12mm head bolts (rear and sometimes front) they'll likely snap. if its the 14mm head bolts you may be lucky. if its just leverage you need take the wrench size you need and put the box end on the bolt head. then use either the same size wrench or and wrench up to 3mm more than the wrench youre using and put its box end on the open end of the wrench on the bolt. position it where you would be loosing it and turn little by little. cause if its rusted you just want to crack it a little, not go to town on it and snap it. let us know

i found a metal pipe im going to use as a cheater bar once it warms up out there its pretty damn cold..

Hose that sumbitch down with PB blaster or equivalent and tap on the bolt head with your wrench or hammer to help it work its way in there. I try to give the wrench short hard jabs with my hand or BFH to attempt to simulate how an impact wrench works . If that doesn't bust it loose, do the double wrench technique mentioned above

I didnt put it out there, but sometimes when a bolt is tight what i usually do is put a\the boxend of the wrench on the head and use a hammer (light enough that you can control) and tap/hit the end. Ity should start breaking the rust and oxidization. Those bolts should have some white on it when you get them off.

they are sooo tight i still can't break it loose
should i spray it w. WD-40 and is the white stuff lock tight?

No its not loctite. thats salt and/or the beginning of oxidation (rusting)

Soak them in WD40, PB blaster, or Liquid Wrench. Start tapping on the wrench at its end with a hammer with light force if you can crack it. That way you work the penetrant into the threads and let her sit overnight and then try.

If all else fails and you can get new rubber boots for the slide pins youre gonna have to heat it up
