Stumped...Humming noise from front end.
I have a 98 CRV AWD 5 spd manual. The car has a fairly loud humming noise coming from the front end when travelling above about 30mph. Sounds like a tire noise or a bad bearing. It gets louder as I turn left and disappears when I turn right. I've rotated the tires and replaced the right front wheel bearing but the noise remains.
Everything I've read seems to point to the wheel bearing but obviously thats not the issue. Any other ideas?

I did have the bearing replaced, by a pro...Thats why I'm here wondering why the noise is still there.
I will check the alignment, thanks.

Perhaps you just have noisy tires? Off-road & performance tires make all kinds of noises over funny pavement. Then when you turn, all the tires spin at different speeds so the sound isn't as apparently droning (kinda goes away). Then once they are all going the same speed again you get a repetitive droning sound...
Just a though.

Perhaps, but it wouldn't make sense that its only the front tires and that the noise goes away when turning right. The tires are all season regular nothing special, offroad, or performance, and they are new.
