Skunk2 springs/struts on '98 LX Sedan = harsh ride?
About 2 years ago I bought Skunk2 519-05-1550 springs and Skunk2 541-05-1220 struts for my '98 Civic LX Sedan, after some years of taking a break from Honda projects and not knowing that Skunk2 wasn't as favored as they once were. I spent the last year fixing and replacing a ton of **** on this car, did a y8 head/trans swap, etc and now I'm finally able to daily it again but the ride is almost unbearable for me. On an even/flat surface it runs smooth and straight, but it's unforgiving on bumps/potholes. It's very harsh but recovers/levels out quickly. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get some level of comfort back in the ride but I'm not sure what I should do. The suspension has at least 1k miles on it by now, so it should be past any break-in period.
My gut and a friend tell me these struts are too firm and I'll need new ones. Is that the solution, and if so, what struts should I be looking at? Not building a show car and I'm not slammed with those springs so I don't need anything top shelf.

Those springs lower the car a ridiculous amount, IIRC. From memory...isn't the drop like 2" or something crazy?
I know the skunk2 shocks have shortened bodies to make up for some of it...but you're probably still crushing bumpstops.
You probably want to raise it up.
Tein sells a Street Advance coilover that should be under $600.
Or pick up a Koni/GC off the shelf setup for $800ish.
Set your ride height up high. Figure AT MOST about a 1.38" drop from stock height.

Photo below is was taken a year ago, haven't touched the suspension at all since then.

I had a set of those shocks on my '00 for a few years. They have shortened shafts but the bodies are the same length as the originals, so yeah you're likely riding fully into the bumpstops if you haven't trimmed them. They were okay at first but didn't last terribly long. I ran them with H&R race springs, which are about the same drop as your Skunk2 springs there.
