Rotor upgrade 10.3" to 11.1" (262 to 282mm) on EG Civic

Hi, I have an EG6 Civic that comes standard with 10.3" 262mm and rear 9.5" 242mm rotors. A common upgrade is to change the calipers to the bigger ITR/Accord Wagon/CR-V and use Mini Cooper/MG ZS rotors. Is there someone that used the standard calipers and just upgraded the front and rear rotors to the bigger 282/262 ITR configuration? Or the calipers are a must? Is there a known caliper upgrade that uses parts from a newer (01+) Accord or CR-V?

The fronts are cheap to upgrade with the 280mm mini cooper rotors and the calipers. It's easy to find them in the junk yard for 60 bucks or so.

With the rears, I ran the larger ep3 rear rotor with the rear bracket and regular integra caliper for a few months, you will need to shave down the pad for it to fit. ITR rear calipers are expensive, and I found RSX rear calipers for cheap instead that work. But you will have to bleed the caliper upside down.

I would read all the brake threads, all the info is there.

Thank you for the reply. Which year/model Mini calipers can be used? Unfortunately Mini parts are a bit scarce here, and we didn't get any Acura or the EP3. No problems finding Mini rotors, though. Is it possible to do just swap for the bigger rotors using the OEM caliper? I've read a lot of threads but no one seems to have done it this way. As for the rear, I'll check if the EP3 rotor measurements match with the rear 262mm for the Mini, as they are the same thickness of the OEM ones if I'm not mistaken.

For the fronts it should be 07-13? non cooper S rotors. I've heard of using the ITR caliper with the 10in front rotors, but not the other way around so I am not sure if that is possible.

There is a chance the rear mini cooper rotor might work, but also not certain.

I currently have the 17CL15VN calipers and brackets from an Acura Ledgend with the non S Mini Cooper 4x100 rotors on the front of my EH2 hatch and the RSX-S calipers and brackets with the 2003 EP3 4x100 rotors in the rear. You dont need to buy the Type R calipers to have this work (Accord V6's, Type R's, Odessy's, Legned's & Prelude's are all stamped the same). The RSX-S rear calipers need to be switched sides (right on left, left on right) to maintain your parking brake. You just have to switch the parking brake lever over (assuming you have rear disc brakes) from your current calipers. As mentioned, the bleeder screw ends up on the bottom, so they have to be bleed while unmounted, or you'll never get the air out.
