Default Replacing Captive Nut - Compensator Arm

The captive nut assembly broke inside the body of my car, long story short, i got the remains cleaned up and the surface is nice and flat on the inside. Can I just use a washer and nut with some blue lock-tight, rather then welding in a new captive nut assembly? Grade 5 or 8 Nut? Got the OEM bolts from Honda.

Thanks

You are much better off having it welded.

blue loctitie would likely hold it just fine, but the amount of work it takes to get the nut... don't take chances, and weld. IMO
