Nut Size on the strut?
The Nut on the strut seized up so I had a shop cut it off. I just need to know what size nut it is so I can go get a replacement.
Do I have to have the nut welded back on? Or can I just screw it on tightly?
Any advice will be appreciated
It's for an 89crx si.

Re: Nut Size on the strut? (menkio)
<--- Has never welded those back on, for any car, or seen anyone actually bother doing that. I think the practical applications don't quite match up to the theory involved with too much stress or whatever. At least in a street/light track use situation. Just my opinion though, and I'm certainly no engineer.

Item #19 is the bolt.
For my 1998 Integra it's M10 bolt... this is the shaft diameter not the bolt head size. Bolt sizes are never quoted by the head size. Most likely it's the standard thread pitch of M10 bolts, so I'm gonna guess a M10x1.5 nut will fit. No need to weld it back on.. it's welded on just an assembly aid. Tighten to spec and you'll be fine.
Pro-tip: Anti-sieze everything when putting back together including the shaft of the bolt. It tends to rust to the bushing sleeve.

ALWAYS do this with suspension ****. Makes future disassembly so much less of a hassle.
