Loud clicking noise when breaking
When I apply the brakes slowly I get a clicking sound... and as I slow down the clicks get much louder. The noise gets louder until I approach 0 mph. The noise is definitely coming from the front of the car, I believe the drivers side. If I stop abruptly or apply the brakes strong...no sound at all. I was hoping someone might have had a similar experience or might be able to shed some light.
Things I've checked;
Axles
Tierods
Rotors
Brake Pads

Has been taken off and tightened several times, wasn't the cause. Not sure if calipers would cause the clicking.

Check them. Isn't the brake pad clips or hardware but the clips are old as hell and still could use replacing.

Re: Loud clicking noise when breaking
I've experienced something very similar before. For me, it was a bad caliper. I'm using legend gs dual piston calipers and rotors up front and one of the pistons in the front right caliper locked up for some unknown reason. It created what I would describe as a bind then pop kind of thing when braking lightly at lower speeds. Pulling the caliper and compressing the pistons to free them up would fix the problem for a short while but I just ended up replacing the caliper when it was convenient. Problem has been gone ever since.
