First off ill only be driving on the street really so i don't need to spend over 1,000 on suspension! Im on GSR blades, 195/50/15 if that matters.

Looking for an affordable and good quality brand strut/springs set that are different from an OEM replacement!
I also don't want to dump my car and bottom out everywhere. Some people might like that look but those people don't take their car into consideration before doing so.

I will be doing the install myself and want to do it right!
maybe $550 and maybe a little more is what im looking to spend.

Also was wondering if front/rear camber kits would be ideal when getting new replacement suspension.

any other input would be great!.......But as of now im looking into the skunk2 sport shocks and S2 lowering springs. At most a 2 inch drop but ideally i want ~1.5

Also, These cars do NOT run struts, they are shocks.


I'll help a bit. Skunk2 sucks, and you will likely be unhappy with your choice. If you want to do it right, stay away from skunk2.

I promis you, you will be happier with the progress coilovers, then any crap you can get from skunk2.

yeah just did some searching on here in the suspension thread. and i figured i have a lot to learn about suspension. had a civic for 5 yrs and never lowered it but now that i got a GSR (something with real power) lol......i do wanna make it handle better.
CS-II is good and reasonable w/ 1 year warranty and price is fair! was just reading up on these and they seem good from what people are saying.

So coilovers are the way to go instead of shock/spring set up?
(keep in mind im only doing street driving)......and not looking to DUMP it like 3 inches

I'm not saying coilovers are better. They are basicly the same thing, man.

The coilover is just a smaller spring that sits on a threaded pearch that allows you to adjust the height to suit your needs. Also, you can get the car level. With lowering springs you can't.

Another perk, you have a bit of adjustibilty when it comes to the spring rates. lowering springs don't give you this choice.

Also, if you do blow one of the progress shocks, it's no sweat to replace one. They run about $70, which is noithing for a quality shock.
Hell, I spent more on alcohol last weekend. lol

The reason why I suggested the progress setup is becuase you don't want to slam the car. They are better suited for a slight drop, which is right in your ball park.

Learn from my mistake, Don't buy skunk2. I regret the choice every time I ride in my car.

BTW, these cars have coilovers from the factory.

The car came stock with coilovers. A coil spring over the shock is what defines a coilover.

An Integra doesn't have struts. Struts are structural parts of the suspension, the shocks on an Integra are not.

Yelling at someone to read, when you couldn't be bothered to even understand what you're asking, is rather hypocritical.

There are many ways to lower the car. All of them have been covered ad nauseam on here already.

You want it lower. There are plenty of companies who make lowering springs for those too lazy to figure out spring rates for themselves. Pair them with shocks intended for stiffer rates and lowering, and enjoy.

If you aren't that lazy, decide on your final ride height, calculate the spring rates needed based on that height and your needs (comfort, performance, not bottoming out, etc...), find shocks that can handle those spring rates, choose your sleeve supplier (which could be the same company you want shocks from, in which case you'll find many fools calling them "full coils" for no reason), and enjoy.
