Do you get any noticable chatter/squealing with out the springs in there?

No. The brakes seem to function fine. I'm running GSR rear calipers over an EP3 rear rotor with EP3 caliper brackets and GSR pads on the back and on that setup I had the same problem with the springs. I've been on that setup for 6 months without the springs and not a bit of noise. I only took it down the street without the springs on the front and I didn't hear anything. I'm going out to The Tail of The Dragon this weekend, I'll post back if there are any issues

What needs to be done to run the mini rotors and ITR pads?

I already have the rotors and pads

You need the ITR calipers, its all explained in the first post. The tsx pads are the ones that have no rotor overhang.

Get pads for an 04 TSX instead of the ITR. That's what this whole thread is about

Ok cool, so this whole thing is about <$200

I wonder how noticeable of an upgrade it is over EM1 brakes

Couldn't tell you. I've never had EM1 or Integra brakes with good pads

It is quite noticeable. Much more grab with less pedal effort and lock up happens a lot earlier so modulation is key. It just a matter of getting used to it, I can easily heel toe even tho the pedal is slightly lower since I didnt change the MC.

On a side note about the centric calipers... either paint them before you install them or get the powder coated powerstops because they will surface rust quickly.

The calipers alone are $95 each after the core charge. Hopefully you aren't buying the cheapest piece of **** rotors and pads you can find.

For good TSX pads you're looking at over $100. Why even do a 'brake upgrade' if you're going to use ****.

The pad number for the 2004 TSX pads discussed here are 787. I just ordered a set of Raybestos RC787 in the ST43 compound for my 00 Si track car from Porterfield

Really looking forward to seeing how this corrects what I thought of as the 'over bite" problem using the 503 profile pads. I have used an angle grinder to periodically bevel the 503 pads to avoid the edge overhang. It bugged me to see that part not making any contact and being completely wasted. I Curious to find out if this improves things.

For the back you need 2005(?) Civic SI rear rotors and itr rear calipers. Iirc RSX calipers work but must be flipped left to right so they need to be bled before final installation

Sorry if this is a dumb question as I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

For the ITR calipers, would it matter what year I select for them? I have a 96 LS but the first year I see ITR calipers is 97. I know they're basically the same, but wouldn't want to get the wrong thing on accident.

rears you only need the rsx/ep3 back bracket, re-use your existing rear caliper and you don't have to flip.

If you have some info from personal use, please name the specific piece of **** and how and under what circumstances they failed so none of us buy them.

Anyone interested in saving some money on your rotors, this is for you. I can highly recommend the $39 each Autozone Duralast Mini Cooper rotors. These blanks come with a 2 year, no questions asked return/replacement warranty.

Mine is a 1999 Honda Civic Si Race car that sees no street use whatsoever. I purchased high end, expensive, Centric Cryrogenic Treated Rotors last year (no warranty) to see if they offered an improvement. I found that they had no better service life. One developed a ~2 inch crack to the edge after ~ six weekends, (normally get six + from the Duralast).

Its not just me. I have three track buddies that drive the **** out of their BMW e36 in NASA Time Trails and / or Group C Race in the Nor Cal region. They began using Autozone Duralast blanks after seeing the use, the price, and the warranty replacement policy of the Autozone Duralast product.

I guarantee you that your street driven vehicle will be just fine with inexpensive Autozone rotors. Use the money to buy some great street use pads, such as EBC Yellow

Agree on the point of buying power coated calipers.

ProParts USA Integra Brake Kit Upgrade - ProParts USA - Low Price Performance Aftermarket Car Accessories - Brakes | Shocks | Springs | Intakes and More!

I bought the Integra Big Brake Upgrade package with Stoptek Performance brake pads and now wish I had bought the low-dust versions.
I've put about 2,000 miles on them now and every week I wipe off a thick film of brake dust, making weekly wheel cleanup mandatory. The el cheapo pads I had on before the upgrade left no dust on the wheels at all, so the upgrade is a dusting disappointment.
The tapped holes in the calipers for the metric brake line bolts look like they were done with an oversize tap, cause the bolt screws in really loosely. I hope I never have to retighten the bolts cause they will likely strip out.
The rotors have no accommodation for the Integra locating screw, so the rotors hang loose or fall off if the caliper is removed.
In retrospect I should have bought power-coated calipers, cause the delivered finish on these calipers is bare metal, which rusts almost immediately if you get them wet.

I may also go to the EBC yellow pads for a change.

My experience with EBC Yellows is that they are not a low dust solution. Not awful, but far from no dust.

It should work fine, I have one 23t and one 25t with my TypeR calipers. They were sent like that from centric.
