ohh god.

Extended top hats simply give your bump stops a little more room to go.

Unless you are riding on the bump stops you will see no increase in ride quality.

Also, ride quality is ALL OPINON RELATED, PERIOD!

You saying the car rode fine, but is a little boucny doesn't mean sh*t. I met this guy about 2 weeks ago. I saw him bouncing up and down the road like a ****ing jumping bean. Me being a smartass, I asked him how the car rode. He said, "it rides stiff, but clean, it's not too bouncy" Keep in mind, This freaking thing was all over the place. Like *** coming out the seat.

People these days have no don't under the concept of ride quality. Bouncy as **** now equals a good rideing car.

in my humble opinion, just get koni yellow sports with a spring to match your drop needs / driving style.

on my EG that got stolen, i had koni yellows and H&R race springs. pretty good drop (2.5" front 2.75" rear) stiff, but streetable i baught them used but konis on our maketplace go for ~400 or so and the springs are like 200 ish and i was as happy as can be with that set-up, even had a ST front/rear swaybar in the works before it got stolen!

Thanks for all the imput. Has anyone ever used Megan Racing's sleeves? I know theyre cheap but I know several people that have used their lowering springs and love them. Ive also looked at Skunk2's struts. Any opinions on those?

Both are crap. If you want to take the chance on putting cheap parts on your car, go for it.

Buddy has them. I took some pictures of the springs about 3 weeks after he put them in. The coating was flaking off, and they rusting badly. If i can find them I'll post them.

Also, the car is super bouncy.

my friend just told me after 1 year of using his megan racing coilovers, the ride went from stiff to bouncy. I would spring an extra 100 bucks for skunk2 coils if i were you.

get this bs out of your head stiffer inst better! junk2 coilovers full body or just sleeves suck. they are too bouncy all around. the idea of having good shocks means they ABSORB the bumpy ride. if you have stiffer springs you will BOUNCE not to mention higher spring rate blow shocks ... as for cheap coil overs they suck period waste of $50 ... megan/d2/nrg/junk2/ebay all suck. i used cheap ones before and blew 6 shocks on my car already before i changed them out now its all better.

Koni Yellows and Ground Control coilovers! Cheaper than most full coilover setups, and you can get whatever spring rate you want! Mine setup is pretty stiff because I went with stiffer springs, but you can tell Ground Control to give you softer springs if you want, and different spring lengths as well. I have no reason to suggest otherwise! Good luck!

this is true. My skunk2's are pretty bouncy.

I'll get **** for this, but I have heard decent things from skunk2/Koni sports.
The cost between skunk2 and Ground control is not enough to warrant not buying GC's.

If you want affordable I would say look on eBay but before you buy always look for reviews.
