Default Front Upper Control Arm 96-00 Civic replacement questions

Hi All,

I need new FUCA's for my Civic.

PO put in crappy ebay 'camber kits' in the front (along with the other typical ebay suspension starter kit) Ball joints are already going, and the allen heads have stripped out.

The current suspension (replaced the ebay coils and blown shocks) is OEM CTR shocks and springs. Basically stock ride height.

I don't see myself changing from the stock height anytime soon, but would this be a good investment:
Amazon.com: Buddy Club BC02-CBKP1EK-F P1-Racing Front Camber Kit for Honda Civic 1996-2000 (EK): Automotive Amazon.com: Buddy Club BC02-CBKP1EK-F P1-Racing Front Camber Kit for Honda Civic 1996-2000 (EK): Automotive

New OEM is about $220 from hondapartsnow.

Rockauto has Moog branded FUCA's anywhere from $60-100 a set.

I don't know if the BC adjustable UCA's are going to give me any advantage right now, so I don't really think they are worth the investment on a stock height car, but I'm always looking to upgrade rather than replace, if possible.

personally, with the CTR suspension I would just do an OEM replacement.

How much are arms from honda parts sites? Bernardiparts.com

I'd rather buy OEM than aftermarket.

The moog ones might be OK. If I were planning on keeping the car for a long time, I'd opt for OEM. Or possibly used OEM.

I'm done with aftermarket camber arms. None of them have decent ball joints and/or clearance.

Moog CK90450/51 are acceptable, and have usually been brown-box OEM over the years. Otherwise buck up and go OEM.

I ended up ordering the Moog CK version arms. I usually go with Moog if the Honda part isn't a comparable price, they haven't let me down yet. Thanks for the opinions!

I toasted my Moog front UCA in about 5000 miles, total crap part in my experience.

I replaced it with Hardrace adjustable but had to replace the lock washers with star washers (cheap hardware). It's was a noticeable improvement over the Moog.

Are you stock height or lowered?

Which ball joint did they come with? Picture please.

The Moog arms for my 89 Civic are Sankei 555 ball joints which are supposed to be good.

The BJ has a number of 7844012 and MOOG. IDK if this is any different. I'll get pics tomorrow.

Cool, was more curious then anything. From what I have read they can be moog stuff or reboxed stuff.

All Moog (and most parts really) is reboxed stuff these days. If you pick the right boxes, it's often an oem part. That's what all of the extra research is for.
