It will be ok with either. It just depends, on how easy you want it to be to install, and how much you want to spend.

Are you guys using any chemicals to prolong the burning like gasoline?

My buddy used something, I think gas, but I am not 100%. He had a can under the bushings, and let it burn.

The last time I did it, I just used a torch, knife, and dremil to get the last little chunks of rubber out.

The bushing did not burn easily, so torch helped. Get something that runs from a drill or airtool to brush/grind the remains out to clean. I used antiseize to lube, not the supplied lube based on some to the track guys experience. Ask the energysuspensionpart.com guy.

had them in my old crx(already installed when i got car) didn't like how they limited the natural motion of the suspension and they always squeaked and ****

Not had the squeeking with antiseize, yet. I am unable to tell if they limit motion. I would think that about 2200-2500 lbs of car would damage the bushings before stopping much car motion. Also probably depends on the whole package, lowering, stiffness and spring rates. How much motion is there?

How about lighter fluid to burn charcoal? I'm thinking the rubber would absorb this stuff making it burn longer resulting in cleaner parts and less time on the dremel. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

hmm, I never thought about using that.

I would give it a shot, it's either going to work or it's not. lol

Yeah I'm going to do it soon I hope. I have RTA's from a DC2 that I need to put on my Civic for a rear disc conversion so I'll do a DIY using them. Should be pretty funny and interesting lol.

I just used a torch and carb cleaner or brake cleaner, once the rubber gets hot enough all the way through it will continue to burn. I started it off by getting the rubber hot then putting a brake cleaner soaked rag on the underside and lit that. The flames traveled up and it burned.
