Okay, right now i have a cheap *** ebay camber kit that replaces the inside bolts on the upper control arm, but this kit is useless to me. When you pull the control arm out to give it more + camber it hits the wheel well when you lower the car off the jack.

Now for my question. If i were to buy a aftermarket upper control arms with a adjustable ball joint would this solve my problem?

an adjustable balljoint like SPC will fit better. but you cant fit like a skunk2 upper a arm, even if they did make it for the crx. theres no room.

quite frankly, you are probably trying to solve a problem that doesnt exist anyway. you dont want to add positive camber. theres no need for camber kits, unless you want to add more NEGATIVE camber for even more cornering grip, or really want cross camber to be zero.

your tires will be unaffected if you get an alignment to fix your toe if youre lowered, or already have a misalignment issue.

my alignment is correct, but my camber is ridiculous. My drivers side is -4' and my passenger side is -5' which is retarded. The toe and everything else is all corrected.

That is the height of my car.

The only way i can think of my camber being that bad is that something is bent. but i dont know.

well thats pretty dang low but its still not typical you get that amount of camber.

just max it out as much as you can fit, if its under 3 degrees, you really have nothing to worry about. but get an alignment after you change your camber again.

unfortunely, theres barley any adjustment. The guy i took it to played with it and said it kept hitting the wheel well.

Whats some suggestions?

if you are that low, the SPC balljoints will hit your upper shock towers. the SPC joint has a big nut on top of the control arm, and the entire balljoint itself is about an inch or so longer than an OEM balljoint, so it locates the upper control arm higher up than OEM, taking away some travel. so just keep that in mind.


I didn't realize you could get that much camber on an ED just by lowering.

Any type of camber correction you try to do with a car that low will most likely bring the tires out at one point or another where they will rub... No matter what you do.... If you want to fix the problem you will have to raise your car back up. I just bought an 89 Civic Si Hatch and it has the same problem because it is overlowered...believe it or not on most honda's you dont want to lower them more than 2" for optimal handling on the street.... by overlowering your car your roll-axis and handling characteristics will be greatly affected....but if you want it slammed you can do what you want...

Well I brought my car to the guy that does the alignments on my car... we fooled with the camber and toe some to fit well with the 15s since the last alignment that was made it was when the car had 13s. The camber is about 3 1/2' on both sides, and the toe is almost even i THINK.. i don't really remember the specs on the toe

of note, Honda dont like to be lowered, especially EF's.

if you wanna go low, buy an E30 bmw or V-dub.
