Re: Clearing up a myth GSR Brakes vs. Civic EX Brakes
Well Gsr and type r share a lot of common parts. I wanted to make sure they were the same before I started the installation. I stumbled onto the answer my accident as I was comparing part numbers.

I used integra rears they were nissin rear calipers on em1 do not say nissin on them. The piston sizes are the same and aside from the parking brake cable length they are the same so if you have em1 real calipers keep them. If you can get a hold of integra calipers they were prolly be cheaper.

All I know is, I did the mini cooper brake upgrade with the same exact parts with the same exact results on my integra and my civic

I have no idea but the front em1 calipers also did not say nissin on them either. And as far as price goes the si brakes were more $ than integra brakea. Dunno y just were.

Re: Clearing up a myth GSR Brakes vs. Civic EX Brakes
I'm hoping someone can tell me the difference between 10.3" abs rotors and 10.3" non-abs rotors for a 98 EX. The two part numbers are 45251-scc-900 and 45251-s5d-a10. The 99 civic si uses a10 while a 95 civic ex with abs and discs uses the 900 part number. I thought all the 10.3" rotors were all the same. Please help me clarify if there is any real difference. The difference in si calipers vs. ex with abs/integra abs calipers makes sense but, whats the diff?
