Civic-Teg rear brake conversion questions
I've got a 98 ex coupe and i found somebody selling a 98 teg ls complete rear setup except for an e-brake cable. Both cars have ABS.
I read the brake FAQ, and found this:
So assuming the setup is complete, is the following correct?
1. Trailing arm should be included.
2. Brake lines should be included.
3. Gotta buy E-brake lines. When installing, the grommet will have to be cut up, and sound proofing could easily be lost.
4. MC and prop. valve should be included. Lines will have to be flared, etc (whatever the etc means..)
Any other parts missing from a "complete" setup? would i need the teg brake booster?
A few other things..
how much are teg e-brake lines normally? how difficult is it to install them (i.e. is it a pain cutting up the grommet)? is there a specific way to cut it, or is it good as long as the line fits thru?
do i absolutely need to use the teg MC, or do i just need to change the prop valve? does this affect the stock ex front brakes at all? Is it a pain flaring lines? what else needs to be done to make it fit?
i would normally save all the hassle and look for an Si drop-in, but at 70$, i'm wondering if this setup is worth it!!
thanks for all the help!!

Here's what you need to make it the EASIEST pain-free install:
1. 93-97 delsol or 94-01 integra or 99-00 Si or "some" 92-95 Civic Si trailing arm assembly.
2. delsol/Si rear brake lines (if you use integra trailing arms/calipers you need INTEGRA brake lines...they have a COMPLETELY different caliper attachment that WILL NOT work with delsol/si calipers).
3. 99-00 Si Emergency brake lines (integra lines will work but they come together into a single rubber floorpan grommet which you'll have to hack up and you could hear wind noise, etc under the carpet).
4. 99-00 Si Master cylinder/proportioning valve (you can go with integra parts but you'll have to flare lines, etc) the Si stuff is drop in.
