Brake Pedal Travel adjustment can this be adjusted?
I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with my brakes. I replaced my master cylinder and now I dont have to pump my brakes anymore or seeping down at a red light. But now here comes the question this is too much travel before the brakes are pressed or engaged I should say. Would this have to be adjusted on the brake booster or the brake pedal assyembly? I dont want to raise the brake pedal any higher. But if this is normal, then forget everything I have said but for you guys is there any travel free play before your brakes are engaged? its about 2 to 3 inches for me right now.

I don't know your specifics, but some MC's have a rod length adjustment when you put them in. Sounds like too much free play. Doubt a bleeding problem if the pedal is firm at the end.

I already bleed the master cylinder and brakes over and over again. I want to say its a faulty brake booster. ok I got the problem solved with the master cylinder its not mushy anymore I dont have to pump the brakes but its firm when I hit the brakes. the only thing is there is a lil free play until the brakes are engaged could this be a brake booster issue?

you can go under the dash, follow the brake peddal up and you will see the rod that goes into the brake booster, you can andjust it, but i think your just noticing things now that u did it. just drive it and your mind wont even be thinking about little things like that. basically its normal to have small amount of play.

So if I was to adjust the brake booster rod that would decrease the pedal play before actually engaging the brake pedal?
