Brake pedal pulsating - ABS bleed needed?
I've had issues with the brake thudder/pulsating brake pedal on my gen 1 CRV, the driver side brake was also running hotter than the passenger side. I started with the discs and callipers, got the discs skimmed, callipers thoroughly inspected - perfect no signs of seize and slides still well lubed and smooth, put it all back together, no difference at all.
Then I took out the 40a ABS motor fuse and tested the braking without ABS, still the same, one thing I did notice was under extreme braking the passenger side brake was locking up/skidding but the drivers side wasn't.
Then it occurred to me that one brake running hotter than the other probably wasn't a sign or seized calliper or pad drag but rather that the drivers side brake wasn't working very much.
I have read before that sometimes there can be air in the abs system and that causes the brake to grab/fade/grab/fade and create the pulsating brake pedal feel even under light braking.
Has anyone heard of this before or know what else I can try?
