Back to basics ground control and koni yellows
Hey guys i have a 95 civic dx with apexi n1 99 spec coilovers with pillow ball mounts.I decided to retire these and go back to the basic slipon coilovers with aftermarket shocks(konis only). Now im confused on what spring rate to get seeing how i really want to try autox but have a nice ride for daily driving.
I currently have a gsr front sway and a gsr rear sway.I thought that ots rates would be fine but i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Can someone aslo explain to me what revalving means.Car also has a bseries if that matters at all

You wont have to revalve the Koni's until you go pretty high up in the spring rate. The design of your suspension does not require high rates to function well so I agree that shelf rates will be good as of now.

I was up to 650 and the guys at GC and Koni said that I was close but they could still handle that rate. I think its somewhere around 700 that you would have to get them revalved.

Re: (elpanopticon)
Go with OTS rates for now. Once your driving skills mature, you will be able to tell exactly what you need to do with your spring rates to meet your needs. Then you can simply purchase used Eibach ERS springs from the RR/AX forum and swap them out. Then, if street feel of the new springs isn't too harsh for you, you can turn around and sell your old springs for the same amount. Besides, there is no point in paying extra to "choose" spring rates when you will just end up swapping them out later as your skills mature...
