9th gen accord rear brake upgrade
"Lots of people are talking, few of them know" I might say. As long as older generations proved the mod successful, I haven't heard of anybody actually using a fastbrakes kit which upgrades the rear brakes of 9th gen accord with pilot rotors.
Brian from Fastbrakes admits that "... the park brake cables don't look to be compatible with the RSX caliper unless the bracket that holds the cable is modified or replaced with one with a different angle." Although it doesn't sound difficult, it's realy good to hear it before buying a kit. If it's just a question of custom shaping a piece of tinware, there is nothing to talk about. Has anybody done it yet?
As RSX calipers are unfamiliar to me and I still don't even have my own car in the garage, I can't say how serious the problem is and can't figure out what actually must be done. If there is anybody here who modified his rears, any lesson would be appreciated.
