HA!!! god damn!! i just did my four disc conv. like last weekend too! but lucky im a tech and i stay off the ground. But good to see you did the right thing and not drilling from the inside out! thats crazy! did you switch out your rear trailing arm bushing? man with that new bushing, its almost impossible to adjust rear toe with the new es bushing. For everone thats gonna do this dont forget to use alot of silicone lube

FYI...you don't need to remove trailing arms to do a disc swap, I don't know why you did it the hard way, unless your original trailing arm was bent from an accident?

Re: [FAQ] Disc swap problem - nut stuck in subframe
Last 2 times I have gone for an alignment the shops said that they were unable to do the rears because the bolt would spin without loosening. I suspect that the slider the nut is in which you pictured has come loose or the nut has come out of it (while still being attached to the end of the bolt).
My questions are: has anyone here welded this bolt in place and used an aftermarket adjustable compensator arm? Like this.
And would this be a recommended work around for this somewhat common problem? What are the pro's/con's?
Not trying to redirect the thread thought since this is a FAQ to keep answers to this in one place. Will make new thread if necessary.

This has happened to me and I do not want to cut into my frame.
I see another thread that recommends rivnuts for another part. Not sure if I should do that or not since I'm not sure how much weight will be put on it or how strong a rivnut is

I am currently faced with this problem. Since I happen to be a hack first ask later kinda guy, I cut everything away and am fabricating a new mount out of steel U-channel. I will post pics when complete.
