So there's a good amount of people who just spray down their car throw some soap on, rinse and wipe it down with a rough terry cloth towel. No good.

SO! Whoever is interested in the L.A. area, I'll be offering full detail jobs.

A usual detail takes between 8-12 hours.
This includes..
Wash
Clay
Cleaner Polish
Synthetic Sealant or Wax

I also do an engine compartment detail and interior.

Depending on location and convenience, I can also offer a mobile service where I can come to you.

I use all Meguiar's products, and the polish and wax is done by machine.

PM me for scheduling and pricing. Or check my website for estimated prices!
I'll offer some discounts for H-T members!

THANKS

-Brad

Here is the job that was done this weekend (Dec. 2 2006)

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...d/NSXintro.jpg

So, I made the trip out to his house and it seemed a bit different than what I am used to here in Pasadena, IT WAS COLD & WINDY!!!!! Heh, but I did come prepared with hoodys to keep warm.

I get there to see the supercar of the Honda Brand, a 1991 Acura NSX, with 13k original miles! WOW

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...NSXdirty00.jpg

Staggered Manaray Wheels, Honda badges, all the exterior plastics were in perfect condition (tail lights, bumper lights, etc) This thing was nice.

Only thing that was really standing out as a problem was the paint with scratches and swirls...

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty1.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty2.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty3.jpg

Bad doggies. Scratches from the dogs.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty4.jpg

Well, it was time to get started...

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty5.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty6.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty7.jpg

Here, I taped off the area for my test spot

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty8.jpg

Don't mind the dust here, every few minutes or so the wind would blow in and bring a huge amount of dust with it... all over the car, so we had to close the garage to prevent that.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.../NSXdirty9.jpg

Didn't show up too well in the garage, so we went outside and did another test on the trunk lid...

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...NSXdirty10.jpg

Wheels done

Re: Socal Detailer for Hire (brad.)

with your detailing are the swirls removed?

brad. 08-16-2006 11:30 AM

Re: Socal Detailer for Hire (RecentlyAcquired)

A detail is making sure the surface is free of bonded contaminants and then protecting it.
It does minimize the swirls, but does not eliminate them.

Swirl removal is more along the lines of paint repair, which requires a more agressive product and a rotary buffer.

I am currently using a Dual Action Polisher to minimize the swirling.

Re: Socal Detailer for Hire (brad.)

Here's an example of paint repair using a Dual Action polisher on my Mustang....

An area was taped off and covered to show the original condition of the paint before we started...

The swirls are reduced, the paint is free of contaminants, and a shine is restored.

This was done with several applications of a cleaner polish, one application of a cleaner wax, and a final application of a synthetic sealant.

can you replicate those results though? Cause those pics look like when it was at the meguiar's detail day. I'm semi interested. What's the price range for a Mustang sized car?
