by saying the transaction is "non-authorized", he's saying that someone used his card without his knowledge. but didn't he log into paypal to pay for the invoice you sent with his cc? if so, is paypal looking into him claiming someone used his paypal account?

I have no idea what it means, but that's the only explanation I can come up with.
I posted this in another forum and I got a response saying this happened to another guy, with the exact same charge filed. He lost even though he had all messages logged and what not, with the same information I have basically..
The guy he spoke to @ PayPal basically told him that conversations on the internet mean nothing because his friend/family member could have hacked his account to send messages/money. +1 for PayPal..

I do not have his plate number but I have more than one way of finding him since he does apparently go to meets. If I am found "guilty" of his credit card fraud then I'll have to meet up with him and have a chat with him..

if you had any phone/text conversations, get the logs from your phone company. and if you do lose with the credit card company, you're gonna have to take him to civil court. which shouldn't be a problem since he's local to you and wouldn't waste too much of your time.
if he wants to play this game though, if you can prove the wheels are yours, you can report them stolen and make this a matter with the police and show up at his door with the police and get the wheels back and press charges.

It took place on TSXclub (rather, he found me on TSXclub, but the conversations and transaction took place over AIM).
I'll be contacting the authorities and an attorney tomorrow, hopefully this gets me somewhere.
If I end up losing the case I'll definitely report the wheels stolen and provide some kind of documentation that my wheels are on his car.

It's a GREY TSX.. dude's short.. little chubby.. the VS-XX I sold him are GOLD with polished lips and inner barrels.. no centercaps.. I don't think he even mounted them because he was asking me for lugnuts which I never sold him..

Guys, the first thing that ran through my mind was to google the address I have and call some people.. believe me, I want to go in there and smash the back of his head in in front of his girlfriend because I know she knows what he's doing.
Where does that get me? Still down the drain $2300 and most likely a case/court date.
I'd rather contact the appropriate people for the job, try and get my money back out of this, and ruin his life in a more mental, damaging way.
