714: STOLEN CW ITR! Another one down.
A 1998 CW ITR was stolen over the weekend at Carsmetics over on Harbor in between Adams and Baker. The owner had left it there to get a tune up and a good cleaning, it was reported stolen there.
It's a STOCK 1998 CW ITR, it has no mods whatsoever except for Alpine deck, amp and and 2* 12' subs.
It's sitting on WHITE CW ITR wheels and the front lip has a lil' scrape on the driver side.
The plates are from Florida too; thats what would stand out the most about the car.
The car only around ~60k miles on it, so keep an eye out for the cluster and other stock ITR stuff.
Keep an eye out for for fresh CW ITR stuff on the market
Posting this up for a friend of mine; he has no HT account.

Naw, no way.
The guy is from Florida recently came down to Cali cuz of a new job.
He's practically alone down here, was gonna sell the ITR to get another car.
So he was gonna get it cleaned up for potiental buyers; then bam. Gets stolen.

I was thinking the same thing.
He's scared that he'll only get like 10gs for his car;
He could've gotten 14-15k for his car since the mileage was only about 60k...
I feel bad for the guy.

Re: (vtec17)
hope he finds it. my friend got his white EG jacked on black friday at mainplace mall. just 6 days ago, the anaheim police found it in a neighborhood, UNTOUCHED. everything is the same how he left it. even his sweaters and stuff. he had a b16 under the hood and type r shiftboot and stuff and they didn't take ****. almost like they just took it for a joy ride and parked it and left. pretty weird.. but its all good.

I'm also curious to why Carsmetics isn't responsible for the car.
They are in possession of the car, and they are a pretty big company to not pay for the car.

My cousin left his car at a shop for them to change his clutch. When they took it for a test drive the guy driving got into an accident and the shop wanted my cousin to handle it and get his insurance to fix his car and they would get off scott free in a way. Well they didn't want to fix his car so he ended up suing them and they eventually settled out of court and they just bought his car off him for blue book value before the crash. Hope things work out for the best for your friend.

How about a couple of details on this one since its close to home... within 2 miles.
When was it jacked Friday? Daytime or Nighttime?
From the lot or from the parking structure?
What neighborhood was it found in? Cross streets?
