Visiting Gardena (SOCAL?)
Not sure if this is the proper place to put this but here it goes.
Me and my buddy are coming down there for a week at the end of December to the beginning of January. I'd like to check out the socal scene and see some shops and businesses related to the import market was wondering what you guys would suggest? Also any shows or meets.
Thanks in Advance
Adrian

Re: Visiting Gardena (rbjeepthing)
I'd check out the new tab tuesday meet. It's one of the biggest weekly meet in socal.

There's also the meet in irvine that happens early in the morning. I forget what it is called exactly but a lot of nice cars like skylines and supras roll out.

i also second the notion that you and your friend should definitely check out the Tab Tuesday meet in West Covina...it's quite a drive from Gardena, but it's well worth it if you want to see how some of SoCal rolls...

i would say the big 3 popular honda shops in so cal are password JDM, inline four, and JHP usa. you can check those out... but yea the meets would be where you would see the most of the "tuner scene" your talking about...

I mean, visit the Petersen Automotive Museum. You can visit famous cop patrolled roads such as Mulholland Highway and GMR, the Cars and Coffee meet on saturday morning is a must.

How ironic you'll be visiting Gardena, CA and wanting to see and do things relating to the "import industry". You're definitely in the right place considering Gardena/Torrance/Carson area is basically the birthplace of it in SoCal. ES Technical Roadsports On Artesia in between Western and Normandie is still going strong after like 13 years. I'd check out Signal as well.
Gardena is bordered on all 4 sides by freeways so local meets and shops in other cities are very accessible.
