Stolen 98 civic coupe ! =[
I live in southside san diego, near imperial beach. My 98 civic coupe was stolen right from my driveway last night. I was hanging out with my friends untill 2 at my house and my car was there. But when my mom left for work at 7 the car wasn't there.
Its a white civic with a carbon fiber hood, konig rims, and aftermarket tail lights that look crystallized. There aren't any major cosmetic defects to help this car stand out in finding it aside from a dent in the rear bumper and bent front license plate.
I have a $500 2-way 5901 viper alarm on my car installed by best buy. When I had looked at my 2 way pager, it had shown my car was unlocked. I know for a fact that my car was locked last night when I had parked it. I have absolutely no idea how these guys got through my security. There was absolutely no reason for an extra battery if it doesnt even go off!
Please help me find my car guys.

If your positive that you locked the car and the remote showes unlock. The theives just turned it off thru the valet. And the alarm sent the info back to the remote. Reason one why I change the default code from its factory setting. $500 does not mean anything about a alarm system. Its the install that counts. I am willing to bet that the siren was just tossed under the hood. And the brain under the dash. A dei 520t back up battery is not going to help in that case. If you had one. Best buy installs are not really that great. They can make it look good. But can it protect the intended. 90% of the install is tossed under the dash.
