I need vagcom or obdII scanner for my VW, El monte area please help!
My car has an EPC and probably CEL (already on because of no cat) I need to know what is wrong with my vw. If anyone has either one and can help me out. Please do not hesitate to contact me. What a freakin birthday this is for me

The state of california no longer allows the scanner as a loan a tool item.
First, they couldnt do the scan because they are not mechanics and would often times clear the codes and people would do their smog checks like that.
Then they would only rent them out, now cali says no more.

really? since when did they implement that rule? I just borrowed one like a month ago. They charged my credit card the full amount of it but refunded me right after I brought it back in.

yea autozone no longer loans out scanners.... lawyers got to them.... said it was taking too much business away from mechanics....

Such a BS excuse. People who borrow the scanners, chances are, they wont be taking it to a mechanic anyways.
