Extended Studs
I need to get some extended studs installed and was wondering how much a shop would charge to have them installed?
Also, while googling, i found that many people said when you replace the studs you must replace the wheel bearing? Is this true even when i have it professionally done at a shop?
If anyone knows any shops in socal that can install for cheap please let me know!

Re: Extended Studs
For the fronts, you must replace the wheel bearings when installing extended studs, because of removal of the hub the bearing separates and is destroyed. I paid $100 for pressing a new bearing in the front hub and installation of new extended studs. Advise that i had removed the front knuckle and just had the machine shop press new bearings and studs.
For the rear I purchased new hubs (which come with bearings) and just had the studs pressed in. Advise that you will need new axle nuts, cotter pins for the front upper/lower balljoints and a cotter pin for the tierods.
