Bar b18b in 94 civic

I will be barring my 94 civic ex coupe with a 96 jdm b18b. I converted everything to obd1 but I am not all too familiar with barring. My only question now is what air intake do I use? I know a lot of people have been saying keep everything as close to stock as possible. I have both the stock civic and integra intakes. I know the civic ex intake which won't fit the throttle of the Ls manifold. But if I use the stock LS intake, the intake box sits too high and the hood won't be able to close. Plus the holes that hold the intake box don't line up. So what do I do? Anybody out there with experience with Barring?

You HAVE to use an integra LS intake to pass BAR inspection. It cannot be modified in any way (cut, spliced, etc). Since the OEM integra intake won't fit under the hood like you've already found your choices are pretty much limited to using an aftermarket CARB aproved integra intake. I personally used a DC sports intake since it was cheap and relatively short but other types may work (ie: aem). Whatever you do though do not cut the piping or even the silicon hose as they are very thorough (at least the tech who did mine was) about verifying that the CARB stickered part hasn't been modified in any way. Good luck!

Had an LS intake in an eg before, I don't recall having any issues.
