any hook ups on paint job IN BAY AREA?
sorry to ask.. but i'm looking for a good paint job.
<U>no macco's or earl or what ever them places are called.</U>
anybody got any hook up's? nothing to fancy..
maybe black at night. but with black with red in it. when the sun hits it NOT TOO BRIGHT but kinda dark red.
i think this will be pricy but i'm lookin to spend less $1500

Maaco is pretty much your only option for a custom, full paintjob like that at less than 1500 bucks. Unless you do it yourself.

$1500 will ge you a basic paint job. and if that's the case then stick to the same color, so when you open you doors or hood, the color underneath isn't different.
oh, and stay away from maacos.

If you're willing to do a lot of the body work, you can actually get a decent paint job out of Maaco. I did all of the body work whilst mine was getting painted at Maaco, and it saved me a ton of cash. They let me use the lot behind their booth to do the body prep and sanding, so I basically had them do JUST painting. I had this done to my '77 Landcruiser, and the paint was flawless. Heck, I even had some of the guys there giving me tips on how to sand.
